Signs of a Pet Emergency

• Difficulty breathing, choking, gagging
• Weakness or collapse
• Unable to walk or disorientation
• Seizures lasting more than three minutes, multiple seizures, or first-time seizure
• Non-productive retching/vomiting
• Swollen/distended abdomen
• Allergic reactions with swelling, rashes or itching
• Straining to urinate
• Excessive or persistent bleeding
• Vomiting or defecating blood
• Pregnant animals in labor for more than one hour without delivering or those that have gone more than 3-4 hours between delivering

Indications for Pet Urgent Care

• Excessive itching/licking/scratching
• Discharge or redness from eyes or ears
• Minor wounds or bite marks
• Lameness/limping
• Coughing or sneezing
• Minor or occasional vomiting or diarrhea
• Straining to defecate
• Change in urine color or frequency
• Changes in appetite or thirst
• Changes in behavior
